The following pathways are intended to individualize the residents’ mental health treatment. These pathways will assist in moving residents to recovery and prepare them to transition into the Partial Pathways, a less restrictive environment.
Upon admission to a program, residents will participate in a series of groups which are specific to their needs:
Pathway to Recovery: Focuses on adolescents with addictive behaviors.
Pathway to Understanding: Focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, to include Trauma Focused CBT.
Pathway to Self Awareness: Focuses on self esteem building, gender issues, identity issues.
Pathway to Independence: Focuses on establishing basic skills for that age range, whether it’s how to make a bed, complete hygiene, or how to complete a resume or job application. This pathway may also include off campus activities to prepare a resident for their future.
Pathway to Growing Up: Focuses on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids/Teens, social skills, and developing the leader in themselves.
Pathway to Self Control: Focuses on conflict resolution skills through use of psychodrama.
